Proton Paints Logo Revamp

Its not every day you get to work on a historic established brand which has remained fairly unchanged since its founding. Proton Paints was established in the 1980’s supplying a range of affordibly minded quality paints to retailers, wholesalers and direct to public.

After being purchased in 2018 the new owners asked if we could make the existing logo ready for use in modern applications, and also explore modernising it if required. Armed with a generic paint tin lable and a copy of the original 1980’s facsimile (Fax) of the trademark approavals, we set forth and traced the logo.

Following this we looked at refreshing the logo  and modernise it. Working from the letterforms we created a custom type incorporating as many of the unique elements as not to loose its original concept, but to sharpen it up.

The supplied logo now traced in vector line and cleaned up. Ready for use in any modern application.
